THE ASSEMBLE ANYTHING GUIDE TO ORDERING IKEA IN TASMANIA

BEFORE YOU START

Before you embark on your IKEA journey, it’s important to note that when you order from Tasmania, “Delivery” will show as “not available” in your location. Do not worry! You can still buy IKEA and get it home to our little island.
 
We will show you how to select “COLLECT” instead of “Delivery.” This is because IKEA send your items from the ‘Springvale’ VIC store to Tasmanian depots located in Western Junction for Northerners and Bridgewater for Southerners. That’s where we, Assemble Anything come in - you can contact us directly; to get your new purchases safely to your door.

IMPORTANT NOTE

As you scroll through the IKEA website, all you really need to be aware of is under each product is “Springvale Click & Collect - Currently in stock” - Just disregard “Currently unavailable for delivery” – simply select COLLECT and it WILL arrive at the Depot!

 

Also, sometimes it may say “available for delivery”.  This is because there are a select few, small, lightweight items like cushions / stools / chairs, that can be sent to your home in the post.  But everything else is just like shopping in the ‘Physical’ Springvale Store i.e. it must be “in stock” there for them to retrieve it from the shop display, pop it in a trolley & send it to the Tasmanian depots.

MAKE AN ACCOUNT

OPTIONAL - If you do not wish to create an account you can skip this step.

Select ‘Log in or Join for free’ in the top menu to login.

If you haven’t got a login yet you can select “Join IKEA family”, this will generate a membership number that will gain you some handy perks & discounts along the way.

Within “Manage Account”, set your “Preferences” to the IKEA Store “Springvale”, in VIC.

MAKE A NEW SHOPPING LIST

OPTIONAL - If you do not wish to create an account you can skip this step.

 

As an option you may wish to make a shopping list & save your items to it as you shop. To save items to your list simply click the "Heart" symbol located beside the Product Name.

 

This list auto saves, allowing you to revisit your list (even on another day) until you’re happy to continue to Checkout. You can also update product quantities within the list menu to save you time retracing your steps.

 

To access your “Shopping list/s” you need to click on your account icon; being symbol of a head & shoulders / Hej!, then click “Shopping List". When you are ready to pay you can add your pre-selected products BACK into the Shopping bag by clicking the blue “Add all products to bag” button.

 ADD PRODUCTS TO BAG

Firstly, you need to add your goodies to your Shopping bag.  Select your product and click “Add to bag”.


 

OPTIONAL - The following step is only for those that have made a “Shopping List”

If you wish to move products from your “bag” to your “Shopping list” click the three dot symbol (…) directly to the right of the heading “Shopping Bag” on the Shopping Bag page (not so easy to locate) then click “Add (1) Products to Shopping bag”

You can access the “Shopping Bag”, anytime during this process, by clicking on the bag symbol in the top right corner.

SHOPPING BAG

The following are the most important steps, they’re additionally the biggest changes to the website this year:

1 - On the top of the page are 2 tabs – click the “COLLECT” tab.

2 - Scroll down the page, underneath the products, to 'Add 'IKEA Services’; to book our ASSEMBLY SERVICE.  Do this and we will arrive at your address & assemble your products in your home (Note; delivery to your door is separate).

NOTE: IT WILL NOT SPECIFY THAT THE COMPANY “ASSEMBLE ANYTHING” WILL BE DOING IT, BUT REST ASSURED IT WILL BE US (When ordering within Tasmania).

3 - Tick the items that you would like to have assembled, it will calculate the "Total Price for Assembly” at the bottom.

 4 - Proceed by clicking the blue ‘Continue to Checkout’ tab on the right of screen. 

NOTE: IT'S IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT BY CHOOSING TO “ADD IKEA SERVICE” (IN STEP 4) YOU ARE ONLY ADDING “ASSEMBLY”, NOT DELIVERY TO YOUR DOOR. TO HAVE YOUR PRODUCTS DELIVERED FROM THE PICK UP POINT (PUP) TO YOUR DOOR YOU NEED TO CALL ASSEMBLE ANYTHING DIRECTLY ON 62280808.

DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Collection options will then be displayed for either, “PUP HOBART Bridgewater” or “PUP LAUNCESTON Western Junction” - Make sure it's going to arrive at the right end of the State for you.

Edit your “Pick-Up date", if you wish.

Edit your “Assembly Service Date”, if you wish.

 

Click continue to bring up “Your Details” and fill them in.

OPTIONAL - The following step is only for those with a IKEA Family membership number.

Here you can enter your IKEA Family membership number, you can find this number 3 ways - by logging into your new/existing account, locating it on an IKEA Family Email about your signup or on the membership card sent to you via post. If you don’t have one just skip this step.

 PAYMENT

Fill in the relevant billing information.

Note that over to the right, under the heading “Order Summary” you will have a $ value written beside “Collection” - this is the cost to have your goods delivered from VIC to the Pick Up Point in TAS; remember it is not for the delivery to your door (you need to call Assemble Anything directly for delivery to your door).

CONFIRMATION

Once you've made your purchase, you will receive an “Order Confirmation” email from IKEA. It would be wise to inspect to see if anything dropped off your inventory due to not being in-stock at the point of sale.  Following that you will receive a Proof of Payment / Tax Invoice email from IKEA. 

 

You will also receive a Text message from IKEA when a). The order has been dispatched and b). When the order has arrived & ready for collection from Bridgewater or Western Junction PUPs.

GETTING YOUR IKEA HOME & ASSEMBLED

If you didn’t book an "Assembly Service” whilst on the “Shopping Bag” page, don’t worry, you can still book us to assemble your items!

 

And, if you require DELIVERY from the Pickup Points to your door, again simply call Assemble Anything!  We especially recommend this for large orders, heavy, breakable items & if you don’t have a Trailer or Van.

 

For us to calculate a charge ($) for delivery we need to know how big the delivery is.  So, please have your Ikea “Order Confirmation” email on-hand.  We may need to contact the depot / receiver to ask what your Pallet Dimensions & Weight are.

SUMMARY

Delivery from IKEA Springvale in VIC ———>  Pick Up Point (PUP) in TAS:  Select this as "Click & Collect" on IKEA's Website.

Delivery from the Pick Up Point in TAS ———>  To your door:  Ring Assemble Anything (as it’s not available on IKEA's website).

To Select Assembly of a product (Whilst shopping online):  Select on IKEA's Website, within the “Shopping Bag" section.

To get Assembly of IKEA (if you did NOT book it through the IKEA website):   Ring Assemble Anything on 6228 0808
