Select ‘My Account’ on the far right of the top menu to login or If you haven’t got a login yet you can select ‘create account.
Within the menu you are also given the option to join ‘IKEA Family’, this will generate a membership number that will gain you some handy perks and discounts along the way.
SET YOUR STORE
Upon login you will see an option to set your ‘preferred store’. Sadly no IKEA stores in Tas, but don’t cry Tasmanians, simply set your store to Springvale.
Springvale, VIC. is where all Tasmanian orders are taken, by setting your preferred store to Springvale the items you select whilst shopping IKEA will update automatically and enable you to proceed with your order without popup alerts that items are unavailable to your location.
MAKE A NEW SHOPPING LIST
We recommend making a shopping list & saving your items to this as you shop.
There seems to be a few bugs on the processing page, so updating to a shopping list seems to solve the never-ending loading battle. It also calculates your list as you go. This list auto saves, allowing you to revisit your list until you’re happy to proceed.
You can also update product quantities within the list menu to save you time retracing your steps.
Found the perfect office chair?
All you need to do is select ‘Save to List’, select your shopping list from the dropdown menu.
The Store Location should automatically display Springvale showing relevant stock levels, or if not - you can manually change it to the Springvale store here.
When you have ‘shopped til you’ve dropped’...
You can proceed to cart by heading to your shopping list (box with a marker icon in top right-hand corner) and begin by adding your selected products to the shopping bag by clicking the green ‘Add to bag’ button.
When all your intended purchases are added to your bag – proceed to cart page by clicking the cart icon on your top right. Here the available items will be displayed in summary format.
GETTING YOUR ITEMS HOME
Hidden in the depths beneath ‘Delivery Options’, on the Left-Hand Side of the summary page(s) is the all important ‘Click and Collect’ button.
SELECT THIS BOX ONLY - Then from the dropdown menu displayed select ‘Hobart as the pickup point.’
Your Delivery Fee will then appear. The Earliest Pick-up date will also appear, but be aware this information is not accurate. Refer to your confirmation email that follows your order and our instructions to determine final delivery date.
On your right select the ’Begin Checkout’ button
Note - If you Select the ‘Delivery’ option & enter a Postcode it will give you a message “Sorry product selected or delivery to this postcode is currently unavailable” – this is because Ikea don’t deliver to individual addresses, in fact they don’t even deliver to the Hobart CBD, they deliver to the Tasfreight Depot in Brighton Industrial Estate - this is beyond Bridgewater and a 30-minute drive from the Hobart CBD.
No need to worry though, Assemble Anything have got your back!! Simply book with us to get your new purchases the rest of the way home.
Fill in the relevant billing information.
When providing address - disregard any bright red pop-ups that note “Please enter a valid Suburb” or postcode, just un-select delivery and opt for Pick Up Point below.
Note - This is also the page that prompts for your IKEA Family membership number. You can find this number 3 ways - by logging into your new/existing account, copying across from an IKEA Family Email about your signup or entering the number displayed on the membership card sent to you in the mail.
The following delivery information is very important.
The way Ikea’s new online shopping process works - as of the beginning of 2019 - small/light weight items will be directed by parcel via Toll to the Tasfreight Depot. Whilst Larger/Heavy items will be sent by Truck via Tasfreight to the Tasfreight Depot.
Although Toll conduct the parcel deliveries they all end up at the same location; Tasfreight Depot Brighton.
Under ‘My Bag’ on the Right-Hand side of the screen your items will be divided into either Parcel delivery or Truck Delivery or both.
You will also see on this page what the estimated delivery date for both Parcel and Truck Deliveries is. These are most commonly different dates. Therefore, if you have both Parcel and Truck deliveries scheduled you need to be sure that both have arrived before you schedule Assemble Anything.
In most instances your Parcels will arrive earlier than the Truck Delivery – Toll will send you a SMS notification to advise of your parcel’s ETA. YOU SHOULD WAIT UNTIL YOU KNOW THE TRUCK DELIVERY ETA BEFORE PLANNING YOUR COLLECTION.
Select ‘Submit’ and you’re through to the next stage!!
